De Keyrel Racing gets a private tour of Target Field home of the MN Twins Baseball team!
De Keyrel racing recently got a private tour of the Minnesota Twins Target field! The tour started off by walking in and looking at all the pictures up on the walls. Then we moved on and got to see the metropolitan club.
Next up was the champions club. Then went outside to see the champions club seating and the nice warm fire place on the jumbotron.
We saw Twins batting cages and where the twins warm up for the big games! There is an observation window into this area from the champions club. Very cool.
Then was my favorite part of the whole tour. We got to go into the Twins locker room and test out the awesome message chairs! It was really cool to see the locker room and all the cool stuff in them! Another cool part of the tour was to see the room trainers help injured players get back to health. They had a pool with a treadmill, hot tub, ice bath and all sorts of stuff in there!
In the gym they had all the top equipment for the twins to train on and overall the building was just amazing to see. I had a great time and thought it was awesome to get to see the behind the scenes of the twins!
I have to give a huge thank you to Dana Minion and my dad for lining this up and making this happen!

Just received another helmet from Tagger Designs! I really wanted to do something cool for this design, but I also wanted it to have a meaning. Here is what Tag and I came up with!
The meaning of this helmet “GOD not only created, but watches over heaven, earth, and the entire universe.” It is just amazing to think about the power he truly has and what all he created.
Tagger Designs is the best helmet artist out there. Make sure to check out http://taggerdesigns.net! Jennings GP 4 Hour Endurance with team 1-855-CzaiaLaw.com/ DynoWorks
I left for Jennings GP on Wednesday, this was the first time I would be flying to a race by myself. I was a little nervous at first, but it ended up being a great trip. It turned out I had nothing to be nervous about!
I got on the plan and flew to Tampa!
When I got there, Donny Wright was there to pick me up. Everything was going as planned! We headed back to Donny’s house for the night. The next morning we packed everything up and headed off to Jennings GP! Jennings was about a four hour drive back north. It was great to see more areas of Florida while we drove there. When we got there, we set up all the canopies and the pit area. We also set up on pit wall, so everything was ready for the endurance race!
The next morning when I got up, I stretched out and got ready for the day! We had practice all day Friday. It was a beautiful day and everything went great. This would be my first time riding a GSXR 600. I started out easy and just got comfortable with the bike. I had not been to Jennings since I was on 125’s. It was great to have the practice day to learn the bike and the track. I decided to get a run in and spent some more time learning the track running a couple laps . I was really looking forward to the race!
Saturday morning I got up, stretched out, and went for a run. We had a 30 minute session of practice in the morning. I headed out to do some laps. The back end of the bike felt kind of slippery. I was running on a set of used tires that had also ran all day yesterday. I decided to come in and make sure everything was good. It turned out the bike had a small oil leak. It was putting little drops of oil on the rear tire. Donny started to put the endurance tank and bodywork on the B bike. We would have to race that bike. Donny and Steve got the B bike all ready to go. Then Donny checks the bellypan of the B bike and there was oil in that bellypan too! So Donny found where it was coming from and had to tear apart the B bike again. He got the bike fixed and started to focused on the race.
I started the race for Team 1-855-CzaiaLaw.com/Dynoworks from the second row. I was in second place going into the first turn. I quickly moved into the lead and got us out front. I rode until the fuel light came on and that put me at just over an hour. I came in to pit and we fueled only. Donny headed out and it started to rain. Donny had a really hard stint, because the track was not wet enough for rains, but wet enough to be slick. Donny stayed out for 55 minutes. He did a great job of keeping us in the race and off the ground . When I jumped on for my second stint, we were in second place and down by 2 laps. I put my head down and passed to get a lap back. The track was getting drier every lap. I just kept pushing and passed again to take the lead back. I was on the bike for 1 hour and 10 minutes, it felt good to be back into first place! I came into the pits and we refueled and a rear tire change. We lost the lead again while we were in the pits. Donny went out for his second stint and got us back in the lead. He stayed out for 30 minutes. Donny came into the pit. We put a splash of fuel in and I jumped back on to finish the race. We won the overall and our class!
Overall, it was a great weekend of racing and a lot of fun! I had a great time at JenningsGP. The trip was far from over. I still had 2 days left in Florida. Sunday morning we got up, loaded and started for Donny’s house. Monday is where we had some more fun!
Donny took me out to Sarasota Bay to do some fishing!
I had a great time out on the ocean fishing. I have to give Donny a huge thank you. It was a life experience to fish in the ocean and to go fishing for sharks! Although we didn’t catch any sharks. It was still pretty crazy to hook a big bait fish to your pole, then when you reel it in it is just half a fish. The other half had been eaten by a shark! We caught plenty of other kinds of fish though!
It was a great time! I had an amazing time this weekend racing and fishing. I could not have done it without Donny, CJ, Sherri, Steve, 1-855-Czaia Law, Dynoworks and all my other sponsors:

Kaleb De Keyrel is the 2013 CRA Champion!
I had an awesome time at the CRA awards banquet this year. We got there early, because we had to set up my Yamaha R6, Cortech leathers, and HJC helmet to display on the stage.
After we got that all set up, people started to arrive and the banquet began! My brother Mason finished 7th overall in the Novice class. He made the switch to the 600 in August and did well on it. He got to go up and get his 7th place number plate and his plaque with all his races on it for the season. Then I got to go up and receive my #1 plate, plaque and gave a short speech just to thank all the people that helped me win the CRA overall championship.
I had a great time at the banquet and Mason even won a $150 gift card for Cabela’s! It was a great year of racing with the CRA and I had a lot of fun! Excited for the 2014 race season !!!

Racing the 1-855-CzaiaLaw.com Honda CBR600RR at New Jersey Motorsports park with AMA Pro racing
Thursday morning, I got up feeling confident how the test went the weekend before and I was really excited to back riding the honda again. My dad and I went to get the bike out of Sean Preito’s trailer to bring it over to Eric Grey. The first thing Eric noticed is the bike didn’t have any power. When they had loaded it up from last weekend the power switch was on. It had ben on the entire week.
So Eric asked Robin, “What should I do?” Then Robin went over and grabbed a battery out of Benny’s bike to make sure that was the problem and it was. After Eric fixed the battery issue. He installed a fresh motor, changed suspension, put on a new chain and stickered the bike for tech.
Friday morning, Eric got up and got the bike through tech right away. He had my grandpa and dad go to Sean’s trailer and grab the Katra canopy, table and table cover to set us up a pit. Practice was up next at 1:00pm. I was 8th fastest in practice and I was felling good about how the day was going so far. I filled out my track map and went over it with Eric. He made a gearing change and tried to make the bike steer better for qualifying 1.
I really had to muscle and fight the bike in qualifying 1. I couldn’t get the bike to go from left to right without abrupt shaking. I qualified 12th and I really knew I could do better than that and I hoped I would have Saturday to improve. Eric and I continued to communicate to try to make the bike handle better for me. He changed the gearing back and got the bike ready for Q2. I got on my bike and peddled some laps around the track with Chris Fillmore. It felt good to get out and ride. I studied the track as I did laps. Feeling the bumps and seeing were I might be able to make time.
Saturday morning was a cold track and nobody went faster, but I still really wanted to qualify better. With 10 minutes to go, I pulled in took a little break. Then went back out and put my head down. I tried a little too hard and I low sided in turn 3. I learned from that situation and moved on because Race 1 was approaching. Eric went to work cleaning and fixing the bike. He had to hurry to get it ready for Race 1.
Race 1, I went around for the warm up lap and everything felt good, but when I went for the next warm up lap I realized that something was really wrong with the bike. When I would shift the bike into 4th or 5th gear high in the rpm’s the bike would bog. I would down shift and it would be good till I made the shift again. So when I gridded up, I made a motion to my dad that something was wrong. My dad radioed to Eric that there was an issue with the bike.
When the race began, I got a good start and was running in the top ten. I came flying around the last corner and I tapped into 5th gear and the bike bogged. The guy behind me ran right into the back of me. Luckily we both stayed up. I put my hand up and moved all the way over to the right. Far away from the other riders as they were flying by. I turned in and crossed hot pit. I pushed the bike up behind the pit wall to not go up the track backwards. When I got to the pit I explained what the bike was doing. Eric thought it was the quick shifter acting up. Eric unplugged it and I took off to go back out. The AMA official at the end of the pit lane stopped me and told me I couldn’t go back out. I rode back down the cold side of pit lane and gave the bike to Eric. The AMA official’s came down and talked with us. I told them I had went behind the pit wall so I did not go up the racing surface backwards. Seeing we did not have a back up bike that we could have switched to. They decided to let me go back out.
I went back out and the bike was doing the same thing. I came back in and Eric asked me to calmly explain to the other Team Hammer guys what it was doing. They took my bike apart and searched for anything they could find to try and get the problem fixed. There was a red flag and that gave us more time. My dad asked if he should put the tire warmers on so it would be ready for the restart. The tire warmers were put on and the the Team Hammer crew was tearing the bike apart. They checked every electrical connection, fuel line for pinching anything they could find. They got the bike back together as the horn sounded off for us to go back out. I started in last and passed 16 guys in 6 laps. We finished the day strong with a great performance by the hole team. They got the bike back out and I rode well.
Eric went to work pulling the bike back apart again to find anything that may have been over looked. I sat down and did my track map and tried to think of any information I could give Eric to make the bike better. I was looking forward to Sundays race.
Sunday morning, I got up feeling good and ready for a new day of racing. I had a warm up in the morning and the bike was running good, but the dash was cutting out. Eric asked if the tack was working? I told him yes and he was happy that the important stuff was working why I was on track.
Fan walk was the next event for me on the schedule. It was fun sitting at a table with Chris Ulrich, Dane Westby, Benny Solis and Melissa Paris. My dad handed out 500 Kaleb De Keyrel #51 1-855-CzaiaLaw.com cartoon stickers. I had my Tagger Designed custom painted HJC sitting on the table for fans to see. I really enjoy meeting the fans and trying to make there day. After the fan walk I started to focus for the race. I went to get my gear on and my dad and grandpa were starting to pack everything up for the trip back home.
Race 2 was up and I was ready. The horn sounded. My dad and Eric pulled the tire warmers off and I started the bike. I noticed the check engine light was on. I told Eric and he shut the bike off. Then asked another mechanic to come over and look at it. When he turned it back on the check engine light was not on and I went out to race. I got a good start and was running in the top 10. About the half way point in the race it started to cut out and bog again. I would set up a rider to pass and than loose power. I notice the check engine light had come back on. I did everything I could to run smooth fast laps and keep the bike running. I fell back to 12th place and finished the race in that position. I came into the pits and I showed Eric that the check engine light was on. I ran my fastest lap of the weekend in that race and was happy I improved.
Overall I had a fun weekend of learning and I will use this knowledge in the future. I have to give a huge thank you to Cj Czaia, 1-855-CzaiaLaw.com, John Ulrich, Chris Ulrich, Grandpa and Grandma De Keyrel, Mom and Dad for making this all possible. I also have to thank Eric Grey and the Team Hammer crew for working really hard on my bike this weekend. Sean Prieto, Kat Zimple and Kirk Reuille for there support. It was a huge opportunity that I am thankful for. I know the results weren’t great but I learned a lot and it was fun!

Testing the 1-855-Czaia Law CBR 600RR at New Jersey Motorsports Park!
Friday morning I went out for a warm up on my bicycle then got to meet my mechanic Eric Grey and his girlfriend Deb. I started out on my Yamaha R6 for the first two sessions just to get used to the track. I really liked the track and I was really excited to test the 1-855-CzaiaLaw.com Honda CBR600RR.
Team Hammer did an amazing job preparing this motorcycle for me. After the first two sessions were done we got the Honda all set up for me. Eric moved the bars, foot pegs and shifters to more how I liked it.
Then we headed out for session 3. I really liked the Honda and the track was a lot of fun. I knew it was going to be a good weekend! Overall Friday practice went good and I got comfortable on the new bike. Eric got the bike working well and I felt confident going into the races.
Saturday morning I got up and did a little stretching. Then put my suit on right away and got ready for the day. My first race of the day was the GTU and I finished 4th place in my first race on the Honda. I was having trouble transitioning the bike from right and left. Eric and I talked about it and made changes to the set up for the next race. I finished 3rd place in the MWGP race and we were getting the bike better for me.
I had been starting in the back and learned quickly that this is a tough track to pass on. I finished fifth in the next two races MWSS and MWSB. I was struggling on the Honda with the first shift. I was to slow on the shift for I was not used to the short first gear. Saturday was a great day of learning the bike and the track but I was looking forward to Sunday.
Sunday started off with one twenty minute round of practice right away in the morning then straight to racing. I changed up my starting positioning to be able to get a quicker shift in. HWSS and MWSS were the first two races for me. I finished 3rd and 2nd to start off the day good! My change on the start was already paying off.
I had a crazy battle with Eric Stump (DSB rider) and Nick McFadden (SS rider). Nick and I had gone back and forth but it was the last lap that really had me excited. Nick passed me on the brakes going into turn 1. I patiently followed behind till the last corner and got a better driving coming out of turn 14 to beat him right at the line. I was confident my Honda CBR600RR could beat him. HWSB was another interesting race.
I went to out brake Babuska in turn 1. Then got pushed wide by Alex Shaw. I was out in the dirt still on the gas and reentered the track behind Nick. The announcer Deano Swims was going nuts over the microphone that De Keyrel just motocrossed it around turn one and reentred behind McFadden. I just ran off the rumble into the dirt a little bit and got back on track then caught Alex Shaw again right on the last lap! I didn’t have enough time to make a move though so I finished in 4th place. MWSB I had great battles again and finished in 4th also.
The last race of the weekend was MWGP. I finished the weekend on a high note getting a 2nd place to Mark Miller. I think the weekend went good and it gave me a good idea what passing will be like for the AMA races. I have a good feel of the bike. Eric did a great job getting the set up close. I am really looking forward to working with Eric again and racing my 1-855-CzaiaLaw.com Honda CBR600RR at the next AMA round at New Jersey Motorsports on September 13-15! Hope to see you there.
